The Delight Story: A faithful customer repeatedly pleaded with Ed for a smaller portable spindle for commuting to work. During the winter of 2008 he worked for several months developing the prototype for the Jenkins Delight. Until he successfully created the well balanced, long spinning Delight there was no other Turkish spindle of its size, weight and shape like it.

July 29 Ed's been concentrating on catching up with store orders for spindles and knitting needles. He hopes to be back to spindle making for individual orders by next week. If there's a wood you'd like a spindle made with please let us know and I'll put it on his to-make list. (All shafts made with maple)
After three days with our small grandchildren visiting us I'm packing finished back-orders, trying to get a handle on what's in stock and will be working through emails and sending PayPal invoices. It's going to take time so please be patient, though realistically it may be tomorrow (Friday) before all emails are answered.

Postage and handling: $3.50 for US and Canada for 1 or 2 spindles,
International based on weight (usually $4 - $5 for spindles)

To Order: Please send email to contact @ jenkinswoodworking . com stating which spindle you'd like and whether there's a different wood or if you'd like one put on Ed's to-make list if it's been sold. Also include if you wish to pay with PayPal, check or cc. If you want to use a CC include your phone number and the best time to call. (Pacific Time) I try to reply to emails within twenty-four hours Monday - Friday and on Monday for the emails received during the weekend.

Shaft Replacements: If your shaft breaks please email the type and weight of your spindle (Kuchulu, Delight or Standard). Ed will make a new shaft for your spindle.
$10 will include replacement plus Postage.

Ed makes each shaft specifically for the individual spindle. One shaft does not fit all! When making a replacement shaft he uses a spindle of the same weight to test spinning balance.
