          Kuchulu Spindles

*********************************************************************************
Ed's innovative Kuchulu Spindles: taking Turkish spindles to a new level of craftsmanship and skill. Until he created the Kuchulus in October 2009, to our knowledge, there wasn't a functional Turkish spindle this tiny. Crossarms average 2.5"L, Shafts average 3.25".
Kuchulu is a Persian endearment for "cute and tiny". Perfect for spinning cobweb and fine lace.
270 yards from 12 grams (0.4 ounce) of a merino/tencel blend was easily spun on a
Kuchulu.

Aug 20th Update
Pictures have been formatted but after working on them for the past four hours I've run out of steam so it looks as though it will be Monday before they go live (truly hoping I can get the PayPal buttons embedded).

Email with type of the wood and size you'd like and it will be put on Ed's to-make list. Let me know if you'll be paying with check or PayPal, I'll send the PayPal invoice once Ed has started making your spindle.

All Kuchulus are $45 except for rare woods which will be marked
NOTE: Ed is now using only Walnut for Kuchulu Shaft.
The lighter weight wood provides a longer shaft for greater ease of flicking.

of  woods and average weight of the kuchulus.
